As an artist photographer, I believe in showing the intimacy between individuals and their environment that can awaken sensibilities nearly forgotten by its spectators. I don't just take portraits. With the camera as my collaborator, I always attempt to capture the nuances contained within the stories, characters and subjects. I share the senses and feelings of my subjects by finding varied ways to show and express through photographs my perspective about the world and the society that we live in.
Concept development is integral to the creative work process that I undertake in art photography. I believe that by having a clear concept or following a specific thematic, I can tell stories with a depth and present the succession of diverse situations.
I would like to use art as a tool to confront issues concerning social imbalance, political or religious conflicts. It is important for me to have a critical eye and empower myself/ my work by making people understand and recognise the beauty and the crucial aspects in life.
